The Sarazilla Rundown
I was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts before moving to Central Florida as a teenager. When I got here, it felt like EVERYONE had something to say about my Boston accent, so I hurried to learn how to speak without it, but it still comes back for a little bit when I get with my New England family and friends :) I also lived in Chattanooga Tennessee/Northern Georgia where I picked up a southern accent, before landing back in Orlando, FL as an adult.
I'm Italian American and learned at a young age to be articulate and communicate with my mom's parents who spoke Italian and very little English. In college I learned to speak Italian as well and am currently learning French.
Like any artist, I feel most at home when I get to be creative and make things. Drawing, painting, digital art, crochet, sewing, playing ukulele, writing, voiceover, furniture making, you name it I want to create it! I love making stuff so much I even used to teach painting.
I am passionate about the environment and do my best to live harmoniously with nature. I enjoy growing plants (as long as they meet me halfway and WANT to be here--no persnickety greens, please) and spending time outside, especially in a hammock. I also adore animals, especially my 11 year old keeshond mix, Mochi (thus named because he's soft, sweet, and a little bit cold).
Before I was voice acting, I consumed a lot of animation and video game media (I love gaming!) which definitely trained me in voice acting even before I even got started behind the mic. Some of my favorite titles are the Legend of Zelda series, Okami, and Fable series, but I love the indie scene too. I'm currently addicted to Hades 2, Deltarune, and Pokopia (not indie, but VERY addictive) as of this writing.
My voice carries a cool, charismatic blend of Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore, with hints of Miley Cyrus edge and Aubrey Plaza charm. Naturally playful and emotionally agile, my sound is engaging and adaptable; my standard accent is female American English. I voice characters from kids of both genders to female teens, to young and adult women, and even seniors of both genders. Known for collaborative, low-stress sessions and taking direction like a beast, I do my best to make the process smooth, fun, and creatively rewarding.
I perform in a custom-built, professionally sound-treated studio on a Neumann TLM 103 mic, connected with Mogami Gold cables to a SSL MK2 interface on Adobe Audition. Accent work includes general American, American (south), Boston, British RP, French, Italian, and German (I'm currently studying Scottish!).
I regularly pursue continued education via coaching and training. I'm a lifelong learner and I love it that way.
